The Geological heritage is a non-renewable natural source that allows the recognition, study, and interpretation of the geological history of the earth and of the processes involved. This important component of the natural heritage allows us to establish the connections between history of the Earth, history of man, history of ecological development and biological evolution. At the start of the new millennium the protection and conservation of the Geological heritage, an important element of the both our Natural and cultural Heritage become a global concern (Barettino  et al 1999).
